How to Make an Origami Koi Fish

Hi guys it's me and i'm here with another origami craft which is fairly easy but takes a long time. This fish looks super awesome and once you make it you will be like "success!". You can keep it as a decoration or a showpiece in your bedroom. I saw so many different versions on how to make this fish that I memorized the steps I hope you like it!

Let's start!

Materials:

• 1 piece of 10x15cm paper
• Black marker ( if you want to draw eyes.)

Method:

 1. First cut out your 10x15cm paper.

2. Fold your paper into half.

3. Open it up and fold into half from both sides.

4. Fold corners up like a triangle.

5. Unfold everything and pinch the corners. Then turn it so that the pinched corners are at the bottom. Then take your pinched corners and fold it down.

 

6. Take some paper from the sides and fold it like a pair of wings.

7. Fold the unpinched side up and then fold from the top corner to where you folded it into half.

8. Turn the fish over so it's underneath is showing. Then right from where you made the last corner fold to the bottom make a fold (on both sides) in the middle.

9. Take the corner flaps and fold (diagonally) them till the fold made halfway.

10. Bring both sides of the fish's body together.

11. Fold the fish's tail halfway on both sides (just the tail).

12. Finally take the point where the fish's tail meets the body and fold it towards any one side. You can customize as you like!

 

Tips:

• Do clean neat folds so that the fish comes out evenly.
• Get the right size of paper you don't want your fish becoming too small or big unintentionally.
